|Trip Reference:||NNAS Course|
Join us in the beautiful Chilterns for a NNAS Navigation course where you will learn the skills necessary to help you Breakfree and roam free independently in the wonderful world outdoors. No need to travel to distant places or scrimp on comfort on a Navigation course. You will discover the magnificent Chiltern Hills are an ideal location to impart and teach the skills you require to enjoy walking independently.
With the bonus of course our walks will take us into over the hills and ridges of Chilterns and into the valleys, quaint villages and hamlets of our glorious Chilterns.
I promise better miles and if you have never visited the Chilterns previously prepare to be surprised!
Our Chiltern footpath network is in our opinion unbeatable, with surprises almost around every corner, beautiful views, culture, history and great company.
On Friday night we meet for dinner in our excellent hotel for an introduction and discussion on what we are doing on what will be a wonderful walking and very sociable weekend.
NOTE: NNAS is a nationally recognised, structured and certificated navigation awards scheme for all ages. It is great for those who are totally new to the use of a map and compass as well as those who are already fairly competent. The courses are also ideal for teachers and youth group leaders who may be assisting with the supervision of groups in a lowland hill or mountain area as well as those who are thinking of working towards the Mountain Leader Awards.
Walking — Grades and difficulty
Our walks vary according to the specific programme, weather conditions and needs/wishes of group participants but are usually between 7/9 or 9/11 miles per day and we walk at a steady pace so you have ample time to enjoy your walk in our beautiful Chilterns with its rich natural landscape and heritage.
We want you to enjoy your time with us as we stroll over the lovely Chiltern Hills, ridges and valleys in one of the UK’s finest footpath networks. The Chiltern Hills are magnificent with hills and valleys, forest and fields with walks and although gradients will be encountered they should pose no difficulties provided you are walking fit.
A description of some of our Chiltern walks are available in our walks gallery.
